Under the current "YELLOW" phase, we are required to track attendance at each Mass.
Attendance is limited to 50% of capacity, with physical distancing of 2 metres.
In order to effectively manage this, we ask everyone to register to attend Mass.
This registration will also help in the event of a public health request for assistance with contact tracing.
If your preferred Mass is closed for registration, this means we have reached our maximum number of attendees.
We ask you in your charity to please try a different Mass time.
As of 9 October 2020, masks are required inside the church, as set out in the GNB's regulations.
All persons wishing to enter St. Mark's Church must complete the self-screening prior to entry, located HERE:
Please note that registration is not required for weekday Masses, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Thursdays, or Confessions.
Thank you for you patience and understanding as we move forward with this new system!
Mandatory Mask Policy - ORANGE and YELLOW Phases
We are happy that we are able to welcome you - our parishioners and visitors - into our church. We are truly blessed to be able to celebrate Mass together as a community in person in the Yellow and Orange phases. We are all in this together. We need to care for and look out for each other, especially now, in light of the recent increase in COVID-19 cases. We need to take steps to ensure the safety of all of our parishioners while also recognizing that our very reason for being is to provide spiritual guidance and sacraments to all the faithful.
It is important now, more than ever, to comply with the province’s mandatory order to wear a mask in any indoor public space. As outlined in the provincial requirements, masks must be worn whenever you are inside the church building – for any weekend or weekday Mass, Mothers’ Prayer, Rosary, Adoration, Confession, or any other reason (parish related or otherwise). Wearing a mask is also required if you enter the Church hall for any reason.
The province’s order does provide for an exemption if you are not able to wear a mask for health reasons. If this is the case, we have taken extra care to accommodate you. Approaching the situation with kindness, understanding, and respect for individuals unable to wear masks, we have provided seating in the Chapel and Family rooms for anyone who is not able, for health reasons, to wear a mask. This will ensure those who may feel vulnerable around those unable to wear masks and those who for health reasons cannot wear them are both cared for. We ask that you respect this accommodation we have made, as we all work as a community to support one another. If you are not able to wear a mask, an Usher will ask that you please sit in the Chapel or Family Room and will ensure that the presiding priest is aware so that he may bring Holy Communion directly to you. You are required to were a mask when passing through common areas, such as the foyer, the nave, or the washrooms. We thank you for your kindness and understanding for your fellow parishioners.
As a further option, St. Mark’s Sunday 10:00 am Mass is Live-streamed via Facebook Live – (see www.Facebook.com/stmarkscc).
